Hinsdale Magician & Mentalist for Private Parties & Corporate Events

Hinsdale is one of the most charming towns in the western suburbs: a historic downtown built around the Metra station, streets of beautifully kept older homes and a social calendar full of benefits, house parties and family celebrations. Hosts here tend to want something more distinctive than the usual band or photo booth, something guests will still be describing weeks later. My performances blend magic and mentalism, from a seated mind-reading show in a Hinsdale living room to strolling sets at club receptions and benefits. You can preview the act in my live WGN-TV Spotlight Chicago segment.

In-Home Shows in Hinsdale’s Historic Homes

A lot of Hinsdale’s best parties happen at home, and a living room or library in one of the town’s older houses makes an ideal stage for mentalism. The stand-up show runs about 50 minutes and needs only a clear area about the size of an area rug, so there is no rearranging the house. Guests stay seated, drinks in hand, while their own thoughts, choices and memories become the material. It suits groups from a dozen guests to a few dozen, and it is built for adults, with teens 13 and up joining in easily. See what to expect at an in-home mentalism show and private party entertainment.

The Lodge, The Community House and Hinsdale Venues

For larger gatherings, The Lodge at Katherine Legge Memorial Park offers a 1920s lodge surrounded by parkland, a popular setting for weddings, showers and anniversary parties. The Community House hosts everything from fundraisers to family celebrations, and the area’s private clubs and downtown restaurants cover the rest. In those spaces, strolling mentalism keeps the cocktail hour lively, and a featured set after dinner gives everyone one shared, memorable moment.

Galas, Benefits and Fundraisers

Hinsdale has an active philanthropic community, and its benefits and galas need entertainment that feels as polished as the evening itself. Mentalism works beautifully during a reception while donors are mingling, and a short featured set before the program or auction sets an energetic tone for the rest of the night. Having performed for organizations like Make-A-Wish, I know how to keep the focus on the cause while giving guests a highlight to remember. Holiday Parties and Seasonal Celebrations

Hinsdale’s social calendar peaks in the fall and winter, from Halloween parties to December open houses. A mind-reading show is a natural fit for a themed party, adding a little mystery without anything gory or childish. For October ideas, see Halloween party entertainment in Hinsdale and La Grange.

Corporate Dinners and Client Events

Hinsdale’s professional firms, medical practices and financial offices tend to entertain clients over dinner rather than in a convention hall. Strolling mentalism fits a private dining room or a club reception perfectly: no stage, no sound system, just small groups reacting together. A short featured set after the meal gives the whole room a shared experience. See corporate event entertainment and employee appreciation programs.

Planning Tips for Hinsdale Hosts

For strolling, plan about an hour for every 40 to 50 guests. For a seated show, plan it for after dinner, when guests are relaxed and ready to be amazed. Fall weekends and December book first in Hinsdale, so reach out early. The FAQ has more on room setup, timing and guest counts.
