Tinley Park Magician & Mentalist
for Private Parties, Weddings and Corporate Events

Tinley Park is one of the few towns where you can see me perform before you ever book me. I play ticketed shows at Sip Wine Bar right here in Tinley Park and at Book Bar next door in Mokena, so plenty of people in the village have already had a card named or a thought read across a glass of wine. When they hire a Tinley Park magician for their own party, that is usually the feeling they want for their guests. Check the upcoming public shows to catch one, or watch my live segment on WGN-TV’s Spotlight Chicago.

Wedding Receptions at The Odyssey and Area Halls

Venues like The Odyssey on Ridgeland Avenue and the banquet halls around town are made for big receptions, and Tinley Park guest lists tend to be big. The stretch between the ceremony and dinner is where entertainment matters most: guests are standing, the bar line is long, and the wedding party is still out taking photos. I work through the cocktail hour group by group, so every table gets a moment and both families have something to laugh about before they sit down together. My wedding entertainment page shows how that hour usually runs.

Conventions, Banquets and Company Nights

I’ve performed at the Tinley Park Convention Center, which brings expos, association banquets and awards dinners to town, and the offices and distribution centers along the I-80 corridor host their own holiday parties and appreciation nights. At a reception full of people who do not know each other, strolling mentalism gives them an easy reason to start talking. At a seated banquet, a stand-up set pulls the whole room into one shared moment, whether that is fifty coworkers or five hundred. Open Houses, Milestone Birthdays and Clubhouse Parties

Every spring, graduation open houses for Tinley Park High School and Andrew High School fill backyards and driveways across the village. The rest of the year it is 40th and 50th birthdays, retirement send-offs and family reunions in rented clubhouses or the Tony Bettenhausen Recreation Center. A private party like this is relaxed and informal, so I keep it that way: close-up pieces as guests drift in, then one short finale when everyone is gathered around. Turning 40, 50 or 60? Here are milestone birthday entertainment ideas for Tinley Park.

A Town That Likes a Night Out

Tinley Park has more going-out culture than most suburbs its size. Credit Union 1 Amphitheatre brings touring acts through all summer, the Chamber’s Oktoberfest packs the area by the 80th Avenue Metra station every fall, and the restaurants along Harlem and Oak Park Avenue stay busy with rehearsal dinners and pre-concert crowds. That is a big part of why live shows work so well here, and why close-up magic at a dinner before the concert can end up being the night’s real headliner.

Booking a Tinley Park Magician and Mentalist

Most Tinley Park clients choose one of two formats: strolling close-up mentalism for receptions and open houses, or a stand-up show of about 50 minutes for banquets and company parties once dinner is cleared.
